Caregiver Mental Wellness, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Concord, NC, dedicated to supporting family caregivers through advocacy, education, and awareness in both communities and workplaces. Our mission is to combat caregiver burnout, promote well-being and self-care, educate supportive families of caregivers, and change businesses’ culture to foster caring work environments to address work-life imbalance. Family caregivers are one of the largest segments of society and the modern workforce.
Our founding board has over fifty years of experience as family caregivers or experience in the healthcare industry. Our founder worked sixteen years as Vice President of Human Resources and Training. We focus on educating family caregivers of aging, children, ailing, and disabled loved ones about practices and information that mitigate caregiver burnout. We emphasize the vital role of initiative-taking family support and work to raise awareness about the importance of WELLNESS.
Besides doing family caregiver presentations and workshops, we speak to civic organizations and business groups and provide consulting services to businesses.
Our initiatives educate the family caregivers, bring awareness to magnitude of the social issue, and provides consulting and a formal program on fostering a business culture that acknowledges the challenges of work-life imbalance. By strategically changing workplace cultures, organizations can build a loyal workforce which supports strategies to retain and attract while effectively supporting family caregivers in the workplace.
