The Cabarrus Veterans Coalition will be placing a stately polished black granite monument (2,100 lbs, 5'x3'), honoring the 29 men who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. Each name, branch of service and date of death will be inscribed on the monument for posterity. Among the speakers will be Joe Galloway, renowned Vietnam correspondent and author of the book "We were soldiers once ....and, young"
