The North Carolina General Assembly kicks off its Short Session on April 24, and your chamber is ready to work! Join us for our Legislative Breakfast on Thursday, April 11, 8:30 a.m. – noon at Cabarrus Arena and Events Center (Cabarrus Rooms), as we present our 2024 Legislative Agenda. Additionally, we will have presentations on three important topics for legislators as they head into session: Propel NC (a proposed new funding model for the NC Community College System), updates on the current childcare situation, and potential solutions for water and sewer allocations and regulations.

Additionally, Brian Francis, The Chamber’s public policy consultant, will be interviewing NC Senator Paul Newton and NC Representative Kristin Baker about their priorities and thoughts heading into the session.
